Keep track of your seedlings by potting them up. Left to their own devices, these baby Echinops sphaerocephalus 'Arctic Glow' were vulnerable to drought, slugs and crowding out by each other. A bit of nurturing won't go amiss. 24.07.11

Cut off the florets on the main stem before they flower, to encourage lots more edible heads. 30.06.11
